Sweet Galingale water pond plant

This is for one Sweet Galingale reed. It will be sent in a rooted form to save on postal costs. It will require potting on receipt. This hardy evergreen plant has pendulous grass-like foliage with slightly serrated edge and a pronounced mid-rib. Flower stems are triangular and convex in shape, stiffly upright, bearing grass like spiklets which turn reddish-brown in the autumn. The tall and attractive foliage which stands long into the autumn makes one of the most handsome architectural plants for the margin of your pond.It will grow up to 1.2m (4ft) tall. Plant in boggy areas or up to 8 (20cm) water depths.If you are putting it under water, we would suggest you pot it into a reasonably large aquatic plant pot straight away.
